Madonna has addressed the tragic death of children during the IsraelHamas war while on stage for her Celebrations tour.

At the O2 Arena in London, UK, the 65-year-old songstress lamented the deaths of children in the conflict as well as alleged hate crimes being committed elsewhere.

She said the war was “heartbreaking” and her voice began to crack with emotion as she addressed the crowd.

“Nobody wants to see what’s happening,” Madonna said. “I turn on social media and I want to vomit.

“I see children being kidnapped, pulled off motorcycles; babies being decapitated, children at peace raves being shot and killed.

“What the f**k is going on in the world? How can human beings be so cruel to one another? It’s just getting worse. It frightens me.”

She went on to paraphrase the American author James Baldwin, whom she calls a “a great inspiration to me all my life”.

“The children of the world belong to all of us, each and every one of them,” she continued.

“I don’t care where they’re from, what their headdress is, what the colour of their skin is, what their religion is – the children belong to us. And we are responsible for them.”

Her speech went on to address the killing of six-year-old Wadea Al-Fayoume in Chicago; landlord Joseph Czuba, 71, has been charged with the murder after allegedly stabbing the young boy and also attacking his mother.

Madonna said Wadea’s murder was “a hate crime, because he was Muslim.

“We have to remember we are human beings here, we cannot lose our humanity. Our hearts can be broken but our spirit cannot.

“No one can break our spirit. And you might look at what’s going on in the world and say, what the f**k? What can I do, I’m just one person, I’m helpless.

“No, you are not. Each and every one of you have the power and ability to turn light on in the world. We are all candles; we can bring light to the world.

“If we turn enough light on, if we light enough candles, the collective consciousness of generosity and unity will change. No politicians, no laws, no sanctions, no land given or taken. We, with our consciousness, can change the f**king world.”

Madonna went on to post her speech on her Instagram page in view of her 19.2 million followers, and the video has already received almost 300K likes.

Champo hair serum is just £25 with clever deal

Thinning hair, hair loss and excessive shedding can take a serious toll on people’s confidence, but shoppers claim they’ve found a serum that can give them “thicker hair in six weeks”. In fact, one customer went so far as to call it a “miracle”.

Browse through social media, and you’ll notice influencers and celebrities putting hair serums to the test and showing off their luscious tresses. And there’s one brand in particular that keeps appearing. Champo is a British haircare brand that says its formulas are inspired by the longstanding use of plant oils in traditions from “ancient India”.

The brand has been endorsed by Katie Piper and Vicky Pattison in recent years, with the latter sharing a post on Instagram in early 2025 saying she was “loving” Champo’s Pitta Growth Serum “for hair growth”.

Since launching, Champo has also worked with Davina McCall to promote its shampoo products, and the brand has been featured on Loose Women.

And right now, there is a fantastic opportunity to stock up on the serum, with a TopCashback deal effectively reducing a 30ml bottle to £25.10, down from £34. This price includes £6.95 standard delivery. According to the brand, a 30ml bottle should last around four months.

Securing the deal is straightforward — all shoppers need to do is register for a new account at TopCashback here. They will then receive a £15 sign-up bonus and cashback when purchasing the Champo Pitta Growth Serum through this Selfridges account.

This works out at £25.10 for new TopCashback members and all Selfridges customers, with existing TopCashback members and all Selfridges customers effectively getting the serum for £40.10, reports The Mirror.

The “non-greasy” formula should be applied using the pipette to the parting line, sides of the head and temples to the crown. Two to three drops should be used daily, and those with particular areas of concern can apply it directly to the affected areas, massaging in thoroughly. Champo advise expecting visible results within 12 weeks of daily use, though continued use is recommended for long-term benefits.

Many customers report noticing improvements at around the six-week mark, including one reviewer who commented: “I was sceptical as to whether this would do anything, but my hair is definitely thicker. I’ve been using it for four months and noticed a difference at around six weeks. My hairdresser noticed as well, saying that my hair seemed to be growing faster and ‘whatever you’ve started doing, keep doing it!’ I’ve already ordered another bottle of this pitta growth hair serum.”

A further user shared their experience after four months, stating: “I have been using the pitta growth serum for nearly 4 months now and I can definitely see and feel a difference in my hair.

“My colleagues have noticed how long it is getting, and the volume definitely feels thicker. I am now on my second bottle of the serum, and I rub a few drops onto my scalp every evening before gently massaging them in. I wash my hair daily, and have coloured hair.”

However, you do need to regularly use the product for the recommended amount of time. One customer said: “If you’re struggling with thin hair, I would certainly give this a try. You need to persevere every day, but I’ve found it worth it.”

Another shopper said: “Over the past few months, I started shedding double the amount of hair as normal, after washing my hair and brushing. I didn’t know what to do, so I gave this a try.

“I have been using it for a couple of weeks now. Pretty much after the first or second time using it, the shedding has reduced right down! I would say even less than what was ‘normal’ for me before I started losing so much. That alone made me happy, but am starting to feel that my hair is getting stronger.”

M&S shoppers are eyeing up a new midi dress that’s being praised for its ‘flattering’ fit, with many saying it gently ‘skims’ the body without clinging and ‘doesn’t crease’. The dress in question is the Ruched Midi Tea Dress that costs £30 on the website.

With more than 100 views recently on the dress, the site says, it is proving a popular choice. Available in the colours black mix or yellow mix, it comes in sizes six to 24 – some of which are currently sold out – and customers say it ‘fits true to size’.

Designed as a classic tea dress, it offers a regular fit that’s comfortable while still creating a streamlined silhouette. The midi length adds a touch of elegance, while the long sleeves provide more coverage for cooler days or formal settings.

A standout detail is the asymmetric V-neckline, finished with a twisted knot feature. Gentle ruching at the waist helps create a flattering drape, enhancing shape while keeping the overall feel relaxed and easy to wear.

The side zip fastening makes it simple to slip on and off, while the fabric is designed to stay looking smooth throughout the day, ideal for those who want something low-maintenance but still polished. Now for an alternative, the Love & Roses White Petite Embroidered Square Neck Puff Sleeve Midi Dress is up for grabs for £68 from Next.

This one comes in both regular and petite fits and sizes six to 20. It’s also made from 100% cotton and looks like a solid choice for the warmer weather.

If shoppers are looking for a different style completely, they could have a look at the Roxy Tidal moon denim long sleeve mini shirtdress in mid grey for £32.50, down from £65, on ASOS. Available in sizes eight to 14, this one has a spread collar, a button-through front, long sleeves and chest pockets.

The M&S tea dress has garnered high reviews on the website, however, as one person said: “I bought this in the cream/yellow print. It is really flattering and skims rather than clings. The shape is lovely and I can’t wait to wear this in the summer.” Another added: “Delighted with the ruched midi tea dress. Good fit and, best of all, it does not crease.”

A third person commented: “Beautiful dress and it fits nicely, looking forward to wearing it.” Some had slight hesitations and removed a star. For example, this person who mentioned: “Lovely print and style of dress, very flattering. Material is a little thin, but the overall fit is spot on.”

Another said: “I ordered the cream patterned dress and, for the money, it is good value. Haven’t worn it yet as it needs to be warmer to do so. Looking forward to the chance to wear it then for evenings out with friends.”

When it comes to haircare, there are so many products out there and it can be difficult to know what to choose. However, one product from LookFantastic is gaining attention – and it is currently discounted, saving shoppers some cash.

The Kérastase Genesis Anti-Hair Fall Nourishing & Fortifying Hair Serum is currently available from LookFantastic for £18.80, down from £23.50, for a 30ml bottle. It is described as a high-performance hair serum formulated to nourish and visibly strengthen weakened hair types. It also comes in a 90ml bottle for £44.20, down from £52.

The brand says this product promotes the illusion of fuller, thicker-looking hair, and it has been expertly designed to target weak strands. The serum should be used daily to help protect, condition and minimise the risk of breakage.

It has been infused with an array of potent ingredients, the brand says, with the oil having ‘ultra-nurturing properties to help nourish the hair from root to tip’. A blend of edelweiss native cells, ginger root and aminexil works to hydrate the strands to leave hair feeling ‘supple and silky-smooth’.

The serum can be used once daily in the morning or before going to bed, and the recommended amount is three to four drops. It should be applied to a towel-dried scalp, section by section, and it should not be rinsed afterwards.

As an alternative, shoppers could buy The Ordinary Multi-Peptide Serum for Hair Density and Scalp Support – 60ml, priced at £21.90 from Boots. This is described as a lightweight, leave-in formula, and the brand says the serum is powered by advanced peptide technologies, caffeine and plant-based extracts.

Or at Superdrug, there’s the L’Oréal Paris Elvive Growth Booster Anti Hair Loss Serum, currently priced at £8.49, down from £16.99. This is said to be a clinically proven hair loss range that prevents hair thinning and reduces hair loss in up to 12 weeks.

Shoppers have left an overall average rating of 4.1 out of five Kérastase Genesis Anti-Hair Fall Hair Serum from LookFantastic. One shopper said: “Best scalp serum! Have been influenced many times to purchase this. Managed to get it on a good deal.”

Another wrote: “Great product seems to make hair thicker and fuller.” While a third said: “Having very thin hair, that is thinning, I’ve noticed a difference since using.”

Others deducted a star, with one writing: “This smells lovely, I haven’t noticed it really help postpartum hair loss though, which is a shame. I would purchase again if on offer, but I wouldn’t pay full price for it.”

Another said: “Still too early to know (the) long term effects of using this product, however it is easy to use and feels nourishing without being too greasy. Will continue to use (it) for long-term benefits.”
