White Stuff’s £75 ‘slimming’ non-iron dress with pockets falls to £38

As the season transitions into spring, fashion fans are swapping their cosy winter wear for breezier springtime attire. Those looking to refresh their wardrobe should consider heading to the White Stuff website. The beloved high street chain is currently running an up to half-price sale on numerous items, with the highly sought-after Rua Embroidered Dress among them. Originally retailing at £75, the dress is now almost 50% off, reduced to £38.
This Rua dress is lovingly made from organic cotton and modal blend, offering both comfort and functionality. It features a striking green shade with two concealed side pockets and a cinched waist for added shape. Dubbed as ‘slimming’, the midi dress is available in UK sizes four to 24 and comes in both petite and regular lengths, designed to hit that perfect mid-point below the knee and above the ankle, ensuring it’s both stylish and practical.
With its universal appeal for women of all shapes and sizes, the Rua Embroidered Dress is suitable for every event, from a simple day out to more upscale occasions. It has earned an impressive average rating of 4.5 out of 5 stars from over 2,200 reviews, reports the Manchester Evening News.
A satisfied customer shared their experience: “Easy to wear and comfortable. Good fit to size and does not need ironing so great for travelling.”
One satisfied customer commented: “Nice fitting dress. It suits any occasion. Either casual or for a special event. Love the colours.”
Another person mentioned: “Lovely dress. So easy to wear, love the long sleeves and pockets. Great colours. A winner.
“The dress is a good addition to my wardrobe,” stated another, adding that ” It fits well and I think it is quite slimming. I like the position of the pockets, useful but do not add bulk in the hip area.”
Another review pointed out: “The fabric hangs well and doesn’t crease. A bargain in the sale. Haven’t washed it yet though. That’s always a good test.”
Meanwhile, one shopper wasn’t as enthused about the Rua Embroidered Dress, leaving a three-star review that remarked: “Very unremarkable, neither striking nor stylish, pretty nor alluring, just rather drab. It was just a very uninteresting dress.”
Yet, another customer expressed delight with their White Stuff purchase, saying: “Love the Rua dress, I now have three. So flattering and comfortable. Can dress up or down for casual outings. Wash beautifully.”
Elsewhere, Boden has announced up to 70% off in its midseason sale, offering deals such as the Thea Long Sleeve Jersey Dress now at £36 from £90, and the Kate Sleeveless Shirt Dress reduced to £50 from £125.
Alternatively, Nobody’s Child is enticing customers with up to 80% off selected items in its outlet sale, featuring the Black Floral Puff Sleeve Callie Midi Dress slashed to £16 from £79, and the Denim Balloon Sleeve Astra Midi Dress now available for £44.50, down from £85.

M&S ‘luxurious’ skirt is so popular it’s sold 100 times in 48 hours

When it comes to summer fashion, many of us seek versatile pieces that can transition from beach lounging to elegant dinners. A skirt from Marks and Spencer has been applauded for offering just this kind of flexibility, with shoppers praising its ‘luxurious’ yet ‘floaty’ appeal. The Pleated Maxi Skirt, priced at £39.50, is available in a vibrant cerulean blue that would blend seamlessly into the backdrop of a Greek island. Offered in petite, regular, and long lengths, the skirt ranks as the number 2 best-seller and has seen over 100 purchases in the past 48 hours.
This surge in demand suggests it may sell out sooner rather than later, although most sizes are currently still available. Featuring a bohemian crinkle-style pleated design, the skirt’s ‘floaty’ fabric makes it a comfortable choice for warmer climates. The skirt’s elasticated waistband and maxi length pair beautifully with both heels and sandals. Its elegant finish is easily complemented by blouses and strappy vests, thanks to its solid colour, reports Gloucestershire Live.
For those who prefer more understated designs, Debenhams is offering Warehouse’s Premium Satin Midaxi Skirt featuring a watercolour pattern with a sleek satin finish, now discounted to £25 from the original £59. If stripes are your thing, Topshop’s cutabout laundered skirt boasts a chic blue striped pattern for £38. For a splash of vibrant hues, including blue, Never Fully Dressed’s Balearic Dorris Skirt is available for £69.
Customers who have purchased the delightful Marks and Spencer skirt, which we believe is ideal for spring and summer, have lavished it with glowing reviews and five-star ratings. A satisfied customer commented: “I absolutely love this skirt. I’m so glad I bought it. The fabric is lovely and floaty and comfortable and I feel I could wear it every day or on the beach or even dress it up in the evenings. It’s beautiful quality and a real bargain.”
However, they did offer a note of caution: “I’d say the fit was slightly on the large side,” but this did not detract from its overall appeal as they added: “It’s lovely and long which I like. Highly recommended I’m so glad I bought one. I just hope Marks and Spencer’s don’t bring them out a lot of other lovely colours otherwise I shall have to buy them too!”
Another enthusiast of the Marks and Spencer skirt shared their thoughts: “Beautiful colour and fabric feels and looks luxurious, like silk. Lots of it too. Waistband is generously loose. I could have sized down. Ordered petite as I’m 5’3″ but the length is long, measures 33″/84cm which is the stated length, assumed that was for regular. Still, it is a maxi length skirt and is a nice lower ankle length for me. It would look really lovely dressed up for an evening out on holiday. I don’t know if the regular would be longer therefore.”
The Pleated Maxi Skirt from the M&S collection remains available for purchase online, with sizes ranging from 6 to 22, and is priced at £39.50.

I tried an Amazon cc cream to cover redness and it worked in seconds

If you are looking for an easy way to even your skin tone and cover redness in your face, I may have found the answer for you. Influenced by TikTok, as I so easily am, I purchased a tube of the Erborian Korean Skin Therapy CC Red Correct which promised to be a “covering complexion perfector and corrector”, which is what I need.
I paid £20.50 for 15ml, so it wasn’t cheap, but it does have an SPF25 incorporated and had more than 5,000 positive reviews on Amazon and it is currently on offer for £16.80 or £33.60 for 45ml. I have previously used the Dr Jart+ Cicapair Tiger Grass colour corrector, which is currently £15.60 for 15ml at Boots, but have found it a little thin. From the videos I had seen, this looked thicker, so I hoped for better coverage.
When the Erborian Korean Skin Therapy CC Red Correct arrived, although I knew it was 15ml, I almost laughed at the small size of the tube.
But you only need a little, so perhaps it will last a while. It comes out a light shade of green, which can be off putting if you have never used a colour corrector before, but trust the process as green can cancel out redness in the skin.
It has a light make-up smell, so it is not fragranced; just smells like the foundation counter at a department store.
It is thicker than other colour correctors I have used and rubs nicely into the skin. This is when the magic happens; the green starts to transform into a skin-coloured pigment that compliments your skin tone and evens out the colour in seconds.
I was impressed with the change and the applications – I just used my clean hands to apply.
And with no make up on, I was happy with the results which lasted for the majority of the day.
I had been out to a cafe, run some errands and tidied my house before I took another image six hours later and you could see some of the corrector wearing off – although some of this may have been due to my glasses and blowing my nose (hay fever problems).
While this is a little expensive for the amount, I was impressed with the coverage and the added SPF from the Erborian CC Red Correct. I would have liked it to have lasted longer, but it is not a foundation.
I have used the Dr Jart+ version under make-up before as a colour-correcting step; I have not tried this one under foundation; I would worry about pilling, given that it is a little thicker.
I would buy this again, but perhaps when it is on offer. Definitely good for when you want an easy make-up-free day but feel your skin is looking a little tired.
You can get the Erorbian CC Red Correct on Amazon for £16.80 for 15ml.
