Prince William and Harry ‘drew the line’ at public tributes to Princess Diana in 2007

Today is the 26th anniversary of death, who sadly died at the age of 36 in Paris in 1997.

Grant Harrold, who spent seven years working for King Charles when he was the Prince of Wales, spoke out about his recollections of the King, , and .

The butler explained why the Prince of Wales and the Duke of Sussex did not release a joint statement on the 25th anniversary of their mother’s death last year.

Mr Harrold said: “I was 18 when she died. I remember it so clearly. I couldn’t sleep and it was five in the morning when I heard she had died.

“I remember the 10th anniversary of her death as it was when I was working for the King. There was a big party to mark her anniversary.

“William and Harry were working on that, and they said that it would be the last time they would publicly do something to remember her death.

“The first couple of years after she died, there were tributes to remember her. But that’s when they drew the line. Every now and then, they do share a story.

“But as far as remembering her on her anniversary goes, that is now done privately. And they said that would be the case in 2007.”

Mr Harrold shared his standout memories of the late Princess of Wales: “Well, I was lucky enough to go on the Britannia when I was working with the King.

“I remember that iconic image of Diana and her boys. I was based at Highgrove, and there are images of her in the sundial garden and it’s still there to this day.

“I remember looking at it and thinking, ‘Wow she sat there’, So, although I never met her or knew her, I still felt connected to her.

“I joined seven years after she died. Seven years is a long time, but in the grand scheme of things, it actually isn’t, and when I joined it was as if she was still very much there.”

Mr Harrold explained what William and Harry were like growing up: “I mainly worked with them when they were approaching their late teenage years and twenties.

“I liked the way they got on with each other. They were always having fun together and having banter. They played practical jokes and wound each other up, but it was harmless.

“They were best friends and they had the same friends, too. You’d see them in the pubs together. It was a great time for them. I remember going to the pub to meet them once.

“When I arrived, they called my name, I turned around and they were behind me. They were both very sociable boys. And that’s what’s so sad about it now, how they’ve gone from best of friends to non-existent really.

“They have become so distant. I know quite a few of Harry’s friends, who don’t hear from him at all now either.”

Bryan Johnson Accused Of Bizarre Workplace Behaviour

CHANNEL TODAY BROADCASTING CORPORATION

Published

on

Tech entrepreneur Bryan Johnson, dubbed the “anti-ageing millionaire”, has been accused of using nondisclosure agreements to silence employees at his startup Blueprint about his bizarre behaviour.

Under the agreement, the workers had to attest that they were okay with him wearing “little and sometimes no clothing/no underwear” and with hearing “discussions of sexual activities, including erections”, according to a New York Times report, which was published last week, nearly a month after Mr Johnson accused the American newspaper of preparing to publish a “hit piece” about him.

The workers also had to agree that the 47-year-old’s behaviour was not “unwelcome, offensive, humiliating, hostile, triggering, unprofessional or abusive”, the report said.

Mr Johnson, however, said last month the opt-in agreement was “fair to all concerned and is in everyone’s best interest.”

What NYT Report Said About Bryan Johnson

The report said the Blueprint employment agreement with confidentiality terms was 20 pages long and included dozens of restrictions.

The 20-page agreement said the workers must keep confidential “any nonpublic information regarding Bryan’s home, office, personal effects in his home or office, any spaces rented or owned by Bryan, any vehicles/planes/automobiles/boats/other methods of transportation that are not publicly accessible, or areas of his home or such space that are not publicly accessible”.

Bryan Johnson frequently walked around with “little clothing” on and sometimes flirted with Blueprint’s largely female staff, the news outlet, which interviewed 30 people, said. But because of the opt-in agreement, no one was able to complain.

He also made millions from selling his payments firm Braintree to PayPal in 2013, and started investing the amount in his anti-ageing experiments. He then divorced his wife, hired prostitutes and took drugs like acid, Ibogaine and DMT, the report said.

What Bryan Johnson Said On NYT Report

Bryan Johnson, whose “Project Blueprint” inspired the Netflix documentary “Don’t Die: The Man Who Wants to Live Forever”, said the New York Times “tried to come” for him but “missed”.

“What was meant to be a takedown ended up reading like a profile piece,” he posted on X on Friday, hours after the report was published.

“They spent a year digging, talked to 30 people, including former fired employees, propped up my ex as their star witness (who tried to extract $9 million from me and failed) And still came up empty. It was only by contorting and twisting facts to fit a narrative that they barely had enough to publish,” he said as he “thanked” NYT for the coverage.

Last month, Mr Johnson also publicly responded to the “fact-checking” questions that were mailed to him by the NYT reporter before publishing the story.

Speaking about the opt-in agreement at Blueprint, he said, “I post nudes on social media. I track my nighttime erections. My team openly discusses my semen health. We make dank memes. Rather than letting people walk in blind, we disclose this upfront, in writing, so there are no surprises.”

“This isn’t coercion; it’s transparency. This practice is fair to all concerned and is in everyone’s best interest. If someone doesn’t align with our culture, they are free to work elsewhere. No one is forced to sign anything. The opt-in agreement exists to ensure that people understand and consent to the environment. It eliminates ambiguity and prevents misunderstandings,” he added.

Mr Johnson, who reportedly spends $2 million every year to reverse his age, also said the confidentiality agreements are “standard and normal”.

“I would be surprised if you didn’t sign one as a condition of employment at The New York Times. On a personal level, my life is under constant scrutiny. These agreements try to create clear boundaries and expectations, so that trust isn’t left to chance,” he said.

“Over time, our agreements have evolved, just like everything else I iterate & improve upon. The goal is precision. Clarity eliminates confusion. People know where they stand, and that’s a win for everyone,” Mr Johnson added.

Trump Supporter’s Immigrant Wife Arrested, Says He Does Not Regret His Vote

CHANNEL TODAY BROADCASTING CORPORATION

Published

on

New Delhi:

A Wisconsin man who voted for President Donald Trump says he does not regret his decision, even after federal immigration authorities arrested his wife upon their return from their honeymoon.

Bradley Bartell’s wife, Camila Munoz, a Peruvian citizen, overstayed her visa but was working toward obtaining permanent residency in the US. Despite their ordeal, Mr Bartell still supports Trump, who has pledged the largest mass deportation effort in US history. “I don’t regret the vote,” Mr Bartell told Newsweek.

“He didn’t create the system, but he does have an opportunity to improve it. Hopefully, all this attention will bring to light how broken it is,” he said.

Ms Munoz arrived in Wisconsin Dells in 2019 on a work-study visa, which expired as COVID-19 halted international travel. She worked in farming and hospitality, where she met Mr Bartell.

After initially losing his phone number, she later reconnected with him on Facebook, and they began a serious relationship. The couple eventually married but delayed their honeymoon due to the pandemic.

In February, they travelled to Puerto Rico for a long-overdue honeymoon. Upon returning, immigration agents questioned Ms Munoz about her citizenship status. When she explained that she was in the process of obtaining a green card, she was detained. She is now held in an ICE facility in Louisiana.

Speaking to Newsweek, Mr Bartell described the distress of witnessing his wife’s detention. “It’s all been a nightmare, really,” he said. “We have an attorney. The system is very inefficient, so it is taking longer than it should.”

Since sharing his story, Mr Bartell has faced backlash. “I’ve received a lot of hateful messages, plenty of people saying we deserve this. And a lot of other insults,” he said.

Donald Trump has vowed to carry out large-scale deportations of undocumented migrants, particularly those with criminal records. Growing concerns suggest that enforcement efforts are targeting individuals beyond the “worst first” approach Trump originally promised.

ICE agents have detained nonviolent offenders and legal residents as part of Trump’s deportation plans, and the White House maintains that anyone in the country illegally is considered a criminal.

Mr Bartell has criticized ICE, calling for reform. “ICE never really has any information, it seems. The system needs to be revamped for better processes and communication between departments.” He also admitted that he has considered moving to Peru if his wife is deported. “It has crossed my mind, but it would be very difficult for my son,” he said.

Mr Bartell is not the only Trump supporter affected by the administration’s immigration policies. On March 8, Palestinian student activist Mahmoud Khalil, a green card holder, was detained at his home in a Columbia University-owned building in front of his pregnant wife. Mr Khalil, known for his involvement in campus protests, is also being held in a Louisiana detention centre.

Since January, the US has deported 388 Indian nationals, the government told Parliament on Friday. Of them, 333 were flown back on three military flights in February.
