Queen and Adam Lambert 2024 tour dates announced ‘This may be the last time’ | Music | Entertainment

Published

on

This October and November, Queen and Adam Lambert are set to head back out on the road with a new North American tour.

Since that announcement, Sir Brian May, Roger Taylor and the singer have been asked if there are any more plans for shows in 2024.

Earlier this summer, the guitarist teased on The One Show: “We’re going to the States in the Autumn and I think maybe somewhere else in the Spring.”

Now the band have announced exactly where they’ll be headed next after North America. And by the sounds of it, this may be the last time ever Queen perform there.

Queen and Adam Lambert will be performing five mega dome concerts across Japan in February next year. This will be the first time the band have performed there since just before the pandemic in early 2020.

Roger Taylor, speaking alongside Brian May, said: “We are so excited to be returning to Japan, the country that has always held a special and most honoured place in our hearts. This may be the last time…who knows? We promise to bring a very real spectacular for you to enjoy!” The guitarist almost emphasised that this will be an even more ambitious version of the Rhapsody tour show and among the biggest concerts they’ve ever played in Japan.

As noted in the announcement: “Since their first arrival in Japan in April 1975 to scenes of fan mob mania, the bond between Queen and Japan has been richly woven into band history. Despite their absence on the touring circuit, Queen’s music continued to be treasured in Japan throughout the 90s and into the 21st Century, thanks in part to their inclusion in TV commercials and television dramas. Featured in a beer commercial, the band’s I Was Born To Love You reached No. 1 on the singles chart.  Invited to return in 2014 – now fronted by Adam Lambert – to headline at Japan’s largest rock festival, Summer Sonic, Queen’s status as Japan’s favourite foreign band was reconfirmed.

“Japan is now once again a regular feature on the touring schedule, Queen and Adam Lambert having returned as recently as 2020 to perform four massive sold-out shows playing to a combined audience of over 132,000 people across the country, clearly evident that the bond between Queen and Japan continues to remain as strong as ever.”

An enthusiastic Adam Lambert added: “The Japan shows back in 2020 were so much fun, the audiences were incredible!  I am thrilled to have the opportunity to come back. Can’t wait!” Will the band perform in more countries across 2024? At the moment there are no plans, but Sir Brian did tease in that The One show interview that maybe they’ll be back to the UK and Europe eventually as well.

Queen and Adam Lambert’s 2024 Japan tour dates are as follows:

February 4th (Sun) Nagoya – Vantelin Dome
February 7th (Wed) Osaka – Kyocera Dome
February 10th (Sat) Sapporo – Sapporo Dome
February 13th (Tue) Tokyo – Tokyo Dome
February 14th (Wed) Tokyo – Tokyo Dome

Pre-sale lottery for Japanese residents only is open from 12pm on August 10 until the end of October 6. Pre-sale for overseas customers then opens on October 7 until the end of October 25 here and public general admission from 10am on October 28.

Roger Taylor unveils Freddie Mercury’s 8 blunt words that kept Queen from splitting up | Music | Entertainment

Before Freddie Mercury’s untimely death in 1991, Queen had spent two decades performing and recording their global hits together. Although they didn’t always get on and fought as brothers would, unlike other rock bands of their era, they never split up.

Queen drummer Roger Taylor puts this down specifically to Freddie Mercury’s emotional intelligence, as revealed in a brand new interview. The 76-year-old appeared alongside his wife in his first-ever podcast appearance on I’m ADHD! No You’re Not, hosted by Paul Whitehouse and his wife, Dr Mine Conkbayir.

Roger was asked what the most emotionally intelligent thing Freddie understood about human beings that people really still don’t fully appreciate.

The drummer replied: “Good question but I can only talk about the human condition in the context of the band really. He realised that we all needed one another for the chemistry to work. And I think it was at some point in the ‘80s that he was the one that… because there was always arguments about, ‘Oh, I’ve got this song. It should be the single. what gets on the album?, etc etc.”

“And he was the one that said, ‘Look, let’s just put all this to bed and [have] everything written by all of us, and so it’s equal shares.” And he got that. He completely got that, and he realised that we were a band. It wasn’t Fred and the others.”

Roger then shared those blunt eight words that kept Queen stuck together.

He added: “It was… And he’d always say that, he says, ‘Don’t call me the leader. I’m the singer.’ I think that really came across as well, because of course he’s a towering sort of presence”

I’m ADHD! No You’re Not is available on all podcast platforms every Thursday.

How to buy Paul McCartney tickets for special London event | Music | Entertainment

The Beatles star Sir Paul McCartney has dropped a few major announcements over the past week. First, he released The Boys Of Dungeon Lane, a brand new album centred around his youth, while also bringing that McCartney charm once again.

After that, he announced a Special In Conversation Event. This once-in-a-lifetime occurrence will bring Macca to the stage at Roundhouse, London, in just the next few days. On Wednesday, June 10, 2026, the star will reflect on the making of this album “from its earliest beginnings”, through the recording process and beyond. And tickets for this exciting event were released this week, but for those who missed out, there are still more left over. Below, we’ve detailed exactly what fans need to know.

Sir Paul McCartney tickets for his The Boys Of Dungeon Lane event were released on Wednesday, June 3, 2026.

These were released on major ticketing websites, including Live Nation and Ticketmaster. But, as predicted, many of these tickets sold out in absolutely no time.

It’s no wonder, considering the Fab Four star rarely enjoys public events. Thankfully, there’s another way to get involved, as well.

Paul McCartney tickets can still be purchased from resale markets, as well. Right now, viagogo and StubHub have plenty of tickets on sale.

They are priced at around £400 each; however, they are currently the only chance to get them.

Here are the links to all available ticketing websites:

Ahead of the release of Paul McCartney’s new album, The Boys of Dungeon Lane, the 83-year-old star hosted a string of exclusive listening events in both Los Angeles and London.

Here, fans were given the first chance to listen to the brand new record.

The album is his first in six years, following his 2020 composition McCartney III.
