It’s been 18 years since The Rolling Stones last released a studio album and it turns out the band have had something cooking.

Sir Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood met Jimmy Fallon and an audience of fans at the Hackney Empire this afternoon to announce their new record Hackney Diamonds, set for release on October 20.

Named after the broken glass from a cracked windshield, the album features late drummer Charlie Watts on two tracks recorded in 2019 called Live By The Sword and Mess It Up.

Hackney Diamonds came together pretty quickly according to the rock trio in the live stream today.

And Sir Mick teased that it features a mixture of love songs, ballads, country and gospel throughout.

The first single Angry is released today with Hollywood actress Sydney Sweeney, who was also in attendance, starring in the music video which you can watch now.

The rumoured tracklist turned out to be true with the following 12 songs included on the album:

Angry, Bite My Head Off, Depending on You, Dreamy Skies, Driving Me Too Hard, Get Close, Live by the Sword, Mess It Up, Morning Joe Cues, Sweet Sounds of Heaven, Tell Me Straight and Whole Wide World.

The Rolling Stones lost Charlie Watts in 2021, but the drummer gave his blessing for Steve Jordan to replace him if anything happened to him.

As a result, Jordan plays drums on 10 of 12 of the tracks on the upcoming new album. Here’s hoping a 2024 tour will be announced too.

Hackney Diamonds is out October 20, 2023 and you can pre-order the Rolling Stones’ new album here.

PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers are just days away from finding out which new games will be joining the service for the month of May.

The next wave of PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium games will be officially revealed by Sony on the afternoon of May 14. The PS4 and PS5 games will be available to download and play on May 20.

As we close in on the big reveal, some fans have been attempting to predict the line-up before Sony’s announcement.

In the monthly predictions thread over on Reddit, multiple fans believe a Borderlands game could join PS Plus Extra.

With Borderlands 4 launching in September, fans speculate that publisher 2K may add a previous Borderlands game to help get players up to speed.

There are picks for Borderlands 3, as well as New Tales from the Borderlands and Borderlands Game of the Year Enhanced. With Sony recently holding a Borderlands 4 State of Play event, the relationship between Sony and 2K appears to be strong.

Another game with multiple picks is EA FC 25. The timing certainly makes sense, especially with the Premier League season coming to an end in May and sales starting to decline. If it doesn’t join PS Plus Extra in May, then don’t be surprised if it comes to PS Plus Essentials in June.

Other sports games are also tipped to appear in May, including NBA 2K25 which has multiple predictions and NHL 25 with just one pick.

Elsewhere, fans continue to predict Atomic Heart will join PS Plus Extra, alongside Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Until Dawn Remastered and Cuphead.

With the TV series in full swing, The Last of Us Part 2 has a few picks, as well as fellow first-party games such as LEGO Horizon, Horizon Forbidden West and Gran Turismo 7.

Other picks include Little Nightmares, Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Lords of the Fallen, Resident Evil Village, Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden, Pacific Drive, GTA 5, Darkest Dungeon 2, Octopath Traveller, V Rising, One Piece, The Crew Motorsport, Spyro Trilogy, Story of Seasons A Wonderful Life, South Park Snow Day and The Quarry.

That’s on top of Jusant, Indika, Sonic Superstars, Hitman, F1 Manager, Monster Hunter Stories, Scorn, Alone in the Dark, Still Wakes the Deep, Lies of P and Sekiro.

Some of the more unlikely predictions include Elden Ring, Final Fantasy 16, Star Wars Outlaws, Alan Wake 2 and Astro Bot.
