White Stuff’s £75 ‘slimming’ non-iron dress with pockets falls to £38

As the season transitions into spring, fashion fans are swapping their cosy winter wear for breezier springtime attire. Those looking to refresh their wardrobe should consider heading to the White Stuff website. The beloved high street chain is currently running an up to half-price sale on numerous items, with the highly sought-after Rua Embroidered Dress among them. Originally retailing at £75, the dress is now almost 50% off, reduced to £38.
This Rua dress is lovingly made from organic cotton and modal blend, offering both comfort and functionality. It features a striking green shade with two concealed side pockets and a cinched waist for added shape. Dubbed as ‘slimming’, the midi dress is available in UK sizes four to 24 and comes in both petite and regular lengths, designed to hit that perfect mid-point below the knee and above the ankle, ensuring it’s both stylish and practical.
With its universal appeal for women of all shapes and sizes, the Rua Embroidered Dress is suitable for every event, from a simple day out to more upscale occasions. It has earned an impressive average rating of 4.5 out of 5 stars from over 2,200 reviews, reports the Manchester Evening News.
A satisfied customer shared their experience: “Easy to wear and comfortable. Good fit to size and does not need ironing so great for travelling.”
One satisfied customer commented: “Nice fitting dress. It suits any occasion. Either casual or for a special event. Love the colours.”
Another person mentioned: “Lovely dress. So easy to wear, love the long sleeves and pockets. Great colours. A winner.
“The dress is a good addition to my wardrobe,” stated another, adding that ” It fits well and I think it is quite slimming. I like the position of the pockets, useful but do not add bulk in the hip area.”
Another review pointed out: “The fabric hangs well and doesn’t crease. A bargain in the sale. Haven’t washed it yet though. That’s always a good test.”
Meanwhile, one shopper wasn’t as enthused about the Rua Embroidered Dress, leaving a three-star review that remarked: “Very unremarkable, neither striking nor stylish, pretty nor alluring, just rather drab. It was just a very uninteresting dress.”
Yet, another customer expressed delight with their White Stuff purchase, saying: “Love the Rua dress, I now have three. So flattering and comfortable. Can dress up or down for casual outings. Wash beautifully.”
Elsewhere, Boden has announced up to 70% off in its midseason sale, offering deals such as the Thea Long Sleeve Jersey Dress now at £36 from £90, and the Kate Sleeveless Shirt Dress reduced to £50 from £125.
Alternatively, Nobody’s Child is enticing customers with up to 80% off selected items in its outlet sale, featuring the Black Floral Puff Sleeve Callie Midi Dress slashed to £16 from £79, and the Denim Balloon Sleeve Astra Midi Dress now available for £44.50, down from £85.

M&S shoppers replace flip flops for £35 mules that rival £610 pair

Marks and Spencer’s new arrivals have left shoppers feeling excited about spring and some have spotted a pair of fashionable mules that could save them forking out a fortune. The M&S Collection Flat Mules, which borrow inspiration from French luxury brand Hermès, are priced at an astonishingly wallet-friendly £35.
As summer approaches and the holiday vibes beckon, these sandals emerge as the quintessential addition to any sun-soaked ensemble. Boasting a minimalist slip-on fashion and seamless for beach or poolside lounging, these mules are made for swift kicks on and off. Yet, it’s not just about high-brow aesthetics as shoppers attest to their “very comfortable” nature that endures throughout the day, reports Belfast Live.
Featuring a chic wide strap for a secure feel and coupled with an open-toe finish, elegance is effortlessly woven into every step and these mules are a standout addition to your footwear collection. They resemble the Oran Sandal by opulent French label Hermès, retailing for an eye-watering £610. By opting for M&S’s version, shoppers can pocket a cool £575 saving.
Echoing the urgency for customers to swoop in, one particularly savvy M&S staff member blazed onto TikTok proclaiming: “Girls run to M&S for Hermès-inspired sandals.”
These coveted shoes are tagged as “selling fast” online, and at the moment, they’re available in sizes three to eight, ready to complete any look in tan, ivory, or light blue hues. Sporting a glowing 4.6-star reviews online, satisfied buyers hail them as a “summer must-have” primed to be the go-to companion for voyages under the sun.
One reviewer, who gave the shoes five stars, raved: “These sliders are so comfortable and look very similar to some available at hundreds of pounds more expensive.”
A second reviewer praised: “I ordered these in tan, which goes with everything. They are true to size (7) and are very comfortable. They are a little pricey, but look like expensive designer sandals. Pleased with my purchase and will definitely be taking them on holiday this summer.”
A third reviewer added: “Lovely stylish sliders…great to wear as a casual sandal or to replace flip flops.” The shoes also received praise for their stylish design, with one reviewer saying: “Colour is beautiful. Very stylish and looking forward to wearing them in the summer.”
However, some reviewers noted that the Flat Mules tend to run on the smaller side. One reviewer warned: “Really small fit. I am a size 5 so I ordered a 5 and a 6, both are too small, so you need to go up a couple of sizes.”
As the M&S Flat Mules do not provide half sizes, a shopper said she went for a size smaller instead, saying: “I went a size smaller as slides tend to expand.” The M&S Flat Mules are available to buy online for £35.
If you’re looking for a more affordable option, Next’s Tan Brown Forever Comfort Slot Mule Sandals are a great alternative, priced at £22 and available in four other colours. Reef’s Sunny Emma sandals feature a large buckle detail and cushy lining with added insole support, priced at £65.

New Monica Vinader jewellery features Princess of Wales’ favourite gem

Demi-fine jewellery brand Monica Vinader has launched a new collection to celebrate the craftsmanship, featuring two gemstones and one is frequently worn by Princess Kate. The Odyssey Part Two is a capsule lineup with green onyx and aquamarine designs.
Royal fans will know the Siren Wire Earring in Green Onyx, £128, is Kate Middleton’s “favourite hand cut gemstone earrings” and she was seen wearing them during her Canada tour with Prince William, then on a visit to the Chelsea Flower Show and again in a video chat with Sir Andy Murray in 2020.
The new Odyssey collection features an Odyssey Wire Earrings in Green Onyx or Aquamarine with 18k Gold Vermeil, £138, an upgrade from the Siren design in a slightly abstract shape.
While 90% of jewellery demand comes from women, discriminatory gender barriers still limit opportunities in gemstone cutting and polishing. This collection builds on Monica Vinader’s partnership with Zimbaqua, Africa’s first all-female-run and managed gemstone mine, and forges a new path in empowering women within the brand’s supply chain at every stage.
The Odyssey Gemstone Open Ring in Green Onyx, £150, is another fun accessory to draw people’s attention as the hand-cut gemstones are faceted to catch the light. Missoma’s Hot Rox Gemstone Stacking Ring, £145, is a minimalistic approach if you are not a fan of statement jewellery.
Bangles and cuffs are popular summer jewellery that we’ve seen holidaymakers wearing them to the beach or stacking up with other bracelets for a 90s wrist stack look. The Odyssey Gemstone Open Cuff, £298, or the Odyssey Gemstone Pebbled Chain Bracelet, £178, are ideal to nail the look.
I have own a few peices from Monica Vinader and my oldest piece started to tarnish and turned to a bronze colour due to wear and tear. Monica Vinader, however, offers replating service and noted: “If you notice your vermeil jewellery losing its colour over time, we’re happy to re-plate it for you.”
If you like green onyx or a May baby, Edge of Ember does a range of birthstone jewellery and this Deco Green Onyx May Birthstone Necklace, £125, makes it a perfect birthday gift. The emerald-cut birthstone pendant also features an 18k gold-plated recycled silver inspired by an era of opulence.
Similarly Monica Vinader’s Odyssey Gemstone Chain Necklace, £178, also features an aquamarine or green onyx pendant on an 18k gold vermeil chain. The collection is now available online and in store.
